Sichuan - Day 2

The first thing is to see a local doctor for some prescription. I had temperature in the flight from Kunming to Chengdu. Ten Min’s walk from the local, stood there a local hospital in front of me. Due to the refurbishment, I walked in from the side door, where were very quite. I doubted it for a second if it is a hospital. However, the chemical smell confirmed me it is. The staff seemed very lazy and half sleeping, which actually shocked me with the normal long queue I would encounter in any other hospital in Beijing or wuhan. I couldn’t figure out why. Maybe chengdu people in general are in good health. The staff were very cold to me, and very rude to any questions I have asked. I don’t know what they are expecting a stranger walking in, would know absolutly everything in their mind. I feel a bit sad to be honest, in particular when you are unwell. Being scolded without any reasons, being pointed out here and there without any clear explanations, made me even more dazzling. Anyhow, eventually I found myself in the third floor where I have been told that Dr is located. When I walked in, a young lady is concentrating in her text messaging. She even didn’t raise her head to look at me. With hesitation, I asked:” eh… excuse me, any doctor please!. ” It is me.” She replied. Guess she might be in love, well, quite good feeling I felt she was in good mood.

She asked me some personal and medical information. Then she diagnosis me with nose infection due to the air pollution. She prescripts me anti-biotic for three days, vitamin B and nose drops. In conversation, I pretended me of a return overseas chengdu person. Her communication way seems a bit welcomed home. I would expect these medicine lasting me for the rest of week. I wouldn’t want to see myself collapsed in front of students.

Then I rushed to the other side of the city ( close to French supermarket) to meet my danish friend. As arranged, I met Andrew from 1kg. The conversation brought us very close as if we have met and being friends for ages. Due to the limited time, I rushed to meet up someone from hubei, who works for Mr. Xie YingJun, from Taiwan. The lad told me very interesting model of building house for farmers by cutting off currency trade, back into the traditional concept of aggregate the commune resources.

Around 10pm, I was back in to my hotel room. Turning on the TV, it was a recount for the all the favourite songs for the 30th anniversary since 1978 (china’s open policy, reformation). Songs is the history carrying out moments of emotions, and growing up. I texted message to all the friends in Shenzhen. A chang was so emotional too to ring me immediately to have a chat. For the whole evening I found chengdu sleepless.
